October activity

When we get a lot of bread, we make bread puddings.

I know there’s a piece missing, someone had to try it! 😋

Happy days!

We collect from Co op every day. The lovely staff put lots of great items ready for us. We then drop them to the cafe and Lynn Garton and her great kitchen team, turn surplus items into hearty, healthy meals.

As it gets colder, her stews and soups packed with lots of goodness, will keep us all going through the winter.

Thank you Lynn, we couldn’t afford you, you’re a diamond

It was a crumble kind of day at the community cafe. Just what was needed on a grey autumn day.

We had a cooking class, using lovely local fruit to eat for dessert and take home.

Happy days 😋

We made healthy wraps tonight at the SEND support group.

Lots of lovely clay modelling and drawing too

It was a lovely evening 😊

Today we are launching Heat and Eat an appeal to make sure our elderly in the community can eat AND be warm this winter , many have lost their winter fuel allowance making it even harder for them . So together with Susan Silsbury andDartmouth Community Chest we are with your help if possible , going to be giving out Heated Blankets , flasks , hats and socks and fleecy warm throws plus non perishable food ..

Dawn Shepherd and volunteers will also be cooking hot meals giving energy advice and help wherever needed.

So if you would like to donate £10 or £20 below is an idea of what we are getting … I will also continue with our scratch cards where £40 goes to buying these items . Thankyou 🥰

Thanku so much Sue Edwards she has donated her £40 win last night to Heat and Eat

Many thanks to Kimberly Heales and all the lovelies at the Fleet care home, for the great donations to our Heat and Eat appeal.

Bless ya! X

Dartmouth community chest was presented with a Dartmouth food festival book last night at the Guildhall. Lynn Garton ‘s lentil dhal was included, alongside the work we do in the community
